Spend a fun evening creating with your best friend or partner! Learn new printmaking techniques in a relaxed and social atmosphere. No previous printmaking experience is necessary, and each participant will create a project to take home. Amanda Heidt is a graduate from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2013 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts emphasis in Printmaking. Born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota, she currently resides in Fargo, North Dakota. In the past six years, Heidt has taken on various internships in printmaking, including an internship at Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York City. Currently she is manager of Hannahers Inc. Print Studio inside Plains Art Museum where she participates as a teacher for youth and adult classes and workshops, curates various print exhibitions, hosts an artist in residence and visiting artist program, and is a contract printer with regional artists in the creation process of fine art prints. While managing Hannahers, Inc. Print Studio, Heidt currently holds a residency at North Dakota State University through PEARS: Printmaking Education and Research Studio working through a book project under master printer Kent Kapplinger.
